MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT
MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT
Each day is a clean slate. A fresh start. A reset.
We greet each day. And its endless possibilities.
We plan. We expect. We anticipate.
But life is unpredictable. What will each day hold? We never really know.
There are no pre-set responses to plug in to get you through each day.
Every moment requires love and truth to be applied uniquely.
Sometimes you have to stand firm. Other times, you need to hold things a little looser.
We commit to invest in each other through intentional time together.
To plan and hope for the best, but carry with us the flexibility to reassess when needed.
To make regular investments in our spiritual well-being and the sources that inform the decisions we make together as a family.
To hold each other accountable for the way we use our time and resources.
To respect the investment of hard work. And to enjoy its returns.
To quickly ask for and extend forgiveness.
To support our family and its well-being through our work and service to others.
To building quality relationships and loving our neighbor. And, as much as possible, seeking peace and unity.
The most important thing at any given moment isn't what we plan, expect, or anticipate.
It's how we're responding in the moment.
It's learning, growing, and being shaped along the way.
Today and its moments will come and go.
Making them count is up to us.

One of the most important goals for the first 5 years of my boys' lives has been teaching them how to cultivate obedient hearts. This goal takes a high priority over everything else - school, creative time, and playing. We provide the boys with tons of opportunities to enjoy playing, exploring, and spending time together. But, when it's necessary, we'll stop and prioritize moments for instruction and development.
