EFFORTLESS WHITE CAKE

This is an incredibly easy yet delicious cake recipe, and the best part is that you probably already have everything you need in your pantry. So gather up the incredients and before you know it, you'll have dessert ready to go with dinner!

INGREDENTS (CAKE)

  • 1 Cup of White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Softened Salted Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Teaspoons Trader Joe's Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 & 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 & 3/4 Teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Cup of Milk

INGREDENTS (ICING)

  • 3 Cups of Powdered Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup of Softened Butter
  • 1 & 1/2 Teaspoons of Vanilla 
  • 2 Teaspoons of Milk

INSTRUCTIONS (CAKE)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease round pan.
  2. Beat together the sugar and butter, in a medium bowl.
  3. Add and beat in the eggs, one at a time. 
  4. Stir in the milk until batter is smooth.  
  5. Pour prepared batter into pan. 
  6. Bake for 30 - 50 minutes in preheated oven. Bake until center of cake is firm. 

INSTRUCTIONS (ICING)

  1. Beat powdered sugar and butter together, in a medium bowl. 
  2. Stir in vanilla and 1 teaspoon of the milk. 
  3. Gradually beat in just enough more of the milk to make frosting smooth. (You can either add more powdered sugar to thicken or more milk to thin and smooth.)
