CHEESE SAUCE

This is currently my favorite cheese sauce.  I could put this on just about anything!  However, it works really well with steaks, poultry, vegetables, and mashed potatoes.

TOOLS NEEDED

  • Cheese grater
  • Small sauce pan
  • Whisk

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Half block of Trader Joe's English Coastal Cheddar
  • 1 Cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 Tablespoons of all purpose flour

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Grate half of the block of English Coastal Cheddar.

2. Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into a sauce pan and cook on medium heat until warm. (Don't warm on high heat or the cream and cheese mixture will curd).
3. Add grated cheese and stir occasionally until cheese has melted.
4. Gradually add 2 tablespoons flour into the sauce mixing with a whisk.
5. Pour into serving dish.
